ELEGANCE AND CLASS. BUILT TO PERFORM. JOHANN FANZOJ GUNMAKERS ARE INTRODUCING THEIR NEW ROUND-ACTION SHOTGUN.
We wanted to do an e x c e l l e n t job, and we took our time. After all, a Best shotgun from Ferlach, Austria, should be something special. So, after years of planning and design, we are pleased to officially announce our new shotgun model that incorporates our vision of modern field use with the aesthetics and balance of the great historical models from the turn of the 19th century.
Our round-action shotgun is built on our triggerplate action-one of the strongest and very elegant designs in gunmaking. All the lock parts are located directly on the trigger unit b e h i n d the action body, enabling the action to be a ”solid“ block, so to speak, and without the need for slots or cavities for internal parts. This shifts the balance point a bit farther back in the rear hand, and enables us to build a lightweight gun, on request with longer barrels, that handles with the responsiveness that serious wingshooters demand.
A beautifully original mechanism, robust, yet small and light-weight, with great balance. A fine product that should not be missed in any gun collection.
